We’re almost at the halfway mark of the year, and as more of you continue to share this calendar, more Black-owned businesses are submitting their events and it warms my heart. It’s a reminder of just how talented, intentional, and creative we are as a community.
I’m also realizing I might need to build a better system soon, because entering all of this information manually, is not for the weak. I’m happy to do it, but with the growth we’re seeing, I may have to start capping at 100 events because the list just keeps getting bigger. What a beautiful problem to have and like every other month, there is no shortage of things to do.
May is full of Black cultural celebrations around the world, and as an Afro-Panameña, May just happens to be my favorite as its Panama's black history month along with Afro-Colombian Month and Haitian Heritage Month. I LOVE us, here’s how to celebrate Black events globally this May
